If you don’t already know, California is offering $10,000 in tax credit for those who purchase a brand new never lived in home before Dec 2009. There’s only $100,000,000 available, and as of 4/29/2009, approximately $48,000,000 has already been claimed!

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today began purchasing fixed-rate mortgage-backed securities guaranteed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae. Selected private investment managers are acting as agents of the New York Fed in these purchases.
Summary data detailing these operations will be available on the New York Fed’s website beginning Thursday, January 8, 2009, and will be updated on a weekly basis each Thursday.
This program, first announced on November 25, 2008, is intended to support the mortgage and housing markets and foster improved conditions in financial markets more generally.

Given today’s economy, you really need to become a smart shopper in order to save money! Of course if you wanted get the maximum value in Real Estate, you should come to me, but what about when you’re shopping for that brand new 52" LCD HDTV, or a new laptop, or the wireless router?
There’re many online forums that you can go to for help, and here’re three that I frequent daily, just to see if there’re any special deals I wouldn’t want to miss:
Fatwallet.com is an online forum where wise shoppers post those incredible finds! For example, I found a deal and purchased the D-Link Ethernet Switch for $9.99 from Office Depot, which came with free shipping and $10 rebate! With tax it was $10.81, so the bottomline price was $0.81 + $0.42 for a stamp to mail in the rebate! No bad huh?
Another benefit for using Fatwallet.com is that you will get Cash Back if you go to the retailer’s website through Fatwallet’s portal. Retailers will report back to Fatwallet on your purchases, and you get a certain percentage back as cash back.
Slickdeals.net is another online forum that competes with Fatwallet.com. This is also a great site but doesn’t offer the same Cash Back reward system.
Microsoft is jumping into the game of Cash Back Rewards. Use this portal to gain instant cash back and discounts on items you’ve been watching! You must setup an account first before you shop though; otherwise, you will not get your cash back.
